What is the difference between FOB, CFR and CIF?
FOB — seller pays until goods are on vessel. CFR — seller also pays sea freight. CIF — seller additionally covers marine insurance to destination port.
How do I convert the CIF price to USD?
Divide CIF (₹) by the prevailing USD/INR TT exchange rate. Add 1–2% buffer for bank charges.
What costs go into export customs clearance?
CHA fees, Shipping Bill filing, port handling, and any regulatory certificate costs (FSSAI, BIS, phytosanitary).
