FAQ

What is TT rate vs card rate?

TT (Telegraphic Transfer) rate is used for wire transfers, closer to interbank rate. Card rate is for retail forex with a wider spread. Always use TT rate for trade payments.

How does bank spread affect import payment?

At 0.25% spread over ₹83.50, you pay ₹83.71/dollar. On $10,000 this costs ₹210 extra. Negotiate the spread for large or regular transactions.

What is an LC and when to use it?

A Letter of Credit is a bank guarantee of payment for large import/export transactions. It costs 0.5–1% of LC value but significantly reduces payment risk.
