What is the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL — you book the entire container. LCL — cargo is consolidated with others. FCL is generally cheaper per CBM above ~12–15 CBM.
How do I calculate CBM?
Measure length × width × height of each carton in metres, multiply by number of cartons. Add 5–10% buffer for pallets.
What happens if I exceed the weight limit?
Overloaded containers are rejected at port or attract heavy fines. Shipping lines strictly enforce payload limits.
