What is CTC?
CTC (Cost to Company) is the total annual expenditure a company incurs for an employee. It includes basic salary, HRA, PF contributions, bonuses and other allowances.
What is the difference between gross salary and net salary?
Gross salary is the total pay before deductions. Net (in-hand) salary is what you actually receive after deducting PF, professional tax, income tax and other deductions.
How is PF calculated on salary?
Employee PF is 12% of basic salary (up to ₹15,000 basic). Employer also contributes 12% of basic, of which 8.33% goes to EPS and 3.67% to EPF.
