Beyond CTC, companies incur costs for office space, IT equipment, HR administration, training, recruitment, legal compliance and utilities. Total cost is typically 1.3–1.5× CTC.

ESIC (Employee State Insurance) applies if gross monthly salary ≤ ₹21,000. Employee contributes 0.75%; employer contributes 3.25% of gross wages.
