Why use a structured interview scorecard?
Structured scorecards reduce hiring bias, enable fair candidate comparison and improve prediction of job performance. Research shows structured interviews are 2× more predictive than unstructured ones.
What is a passing score on this scorecard?
A score above 70/100 typically indicates a strong candidate; 80+ is an excellent candidate. Below 60 suggests significant gaps that should be discussed before proceeding.
What weight should cultural fit have in hiring?
Cultural fit is important but should not override skill and performance. Keep it at 10–20% to prevent bias — focus on shared values and work style, not personal similarity.
