How is OEE calculated?
OEE = Availability% × Performance% × Quality%. For example, 90% × 95% × 99% ≈ 84.6%.
What is a good OEE score?
85% is considered world-class for discrete manufacturing; 60% is fairly typical; under 40% indicates significant losses.
What do the three factors mean?
Availability = uptime vs planned time; Performance = actual vs ideal speed; Quality = good units vs total units.
