FAQ

How do I calculate wall area for a room?

Wall area = (2 × (length + width)) × height. Subtract door and window areas to get the net paintable or tile-able wall area.

How much paint do I need for a 12×15 room?

A 12×15 ft room with 10 ft ceiling has about 460 sq ft of net wall area. At 120 sq ft/litre for 2 coats, you need about 4 litres of wall paint plus separate ceiling paint.

What is the difference between carpet area and floor area?

In interior planning, floor area = length × width of the room. Carpet area (as defined by RERA) deducts wall thickness from built-up area — a different measurement.
