How many lights does a 12×15 room need?
For a living room (200 lux), a 12×15 ft room needs roughly 8–12 LED downlights of 9–12W each, depending on ceiling height and lumen output.
What is the right lux level for different rooms?
Bedrooms: 100–150 lux; living rooms: 200–300 lux; kitchens: 300–500 lux; offices: 300–500 lux; OTs and exam rooms: 500–1,000 lux.
Should I use warm white or cool white LEDs?
Warm white (2700–3000K) suits bedrooms and living rooms; cool white (4000–5000K) is better for kitchens, offices and healthcare spaces.
