For a multispecialty hospital, all-in cost typically ranges Rs 25–60 lakh per bed depending on city tier, specialty mix, finishing and equipment. Civil work alone is usually Rs 2,500–4,500 per sq ft.

How much built-up area is needed per hospital bed?

General ~800–1,000 sq ft/bed, multispecialty ~1,000–1,200 sq ft/bed, super-specialty ~1,200–1,600 sq ft/bed including OTs, ICUs, diagnostics and support areas.

Does this include medical equipment cost?

Yes, optionally. Equipment for a multispecialty hospital typically adds 30–50% on top of building cost.
